Rolex ArizonaI am looking at getting a prowler. Is there anything I should be aware, warned about? I am looking for past or future problems or issures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx
Mondo

CTProwlerBig problem is space. Not much storage, or trunk room. Not good if you are large like me. But BIGGEST problem is all the attention you will get. Its hard to drive anywhere & park without people looking and talking to you. Prowlers are like other cars, maintain them properly and they will last a long time, with many hours of enjoyment!

Rolex ArizonaThanx for the quick reply. It is very appreciated.

1 more Q. I am a big guy and just looked at one. They look very tight. Is there anything you can do (other than loose weight) to make them more comfy for us big fellows.

Thanx
mondo

ALLEY CATRolex - Chuck is the guy who posted to your question first. If you are bigger than him,,,don't buy one. Chuck is 6 foot something,,,300 lbs and he fits perfect in his two cats.

If you buy one,,,can we help paint it with your rental paint guns???

LARRY SALZMAN - MESA, ARIZONA

CTProwlerThanks larry, I just lost 50 lbs. (According to you) Actually i have gained 20 lbs since spring. The doctors say its the fear that you'll never be able to eat again!!LOL Surgery will be end of Nov. I hope!!! I have no problem getting in and out with top down. Its really hard with top up. I go in head first, put my right leg on seat twist and sit down. Good thing i live in north east and only drive it in nice weather. Before you buy one, try getting in with top up!!Fits perfect???Like a Hot dog on a Bun!

ALLEY CATChuck - I was going to type in 280 lbs,,,,,,but then thought, why should I lie to the new guy

Nov operation? Stomach staple? I need to lose 50 myself.

CTProwlerYes Larry--had all the tests the last month. I'm Ok to go with surgeon. I want to wait until mid november when Falls over & cold weather sets in. Its 3 weeks on liquids and then 5 on blended food!!Nothing solid for 8 weeks. Beer???Its a liquid isn't it! I don't have to loose 50, i want to loose 150 Building is slow in bad weather and i won't have much going on in Dec,Jan,Feb,March.

Rolex ArizonaThanx for all the honest answers. It is very welcome. I will try and get in one asap. The dealership was closed when I went to go look at it.

Thanx again and I hope all goes well with the operation.

JUST JPRolex,
Buy an extended waranty. Saved me a bundle.

Chuck,
Kudos to you for being aggresive about bettering your life expectancy. I'm sure the Mrs will appreciate you sticking around for a while. Not to mention, she's gonna love how much your confindence will grow once you start beating this thing. Your Kat family is behind you.

indy96Yeah, they're tight for big guys (gals) but the fun factor far out weighs the size. Keep the wheels cleaned and waxed (lots of wax) I agree with the extended warranty tho I haven't needed it yet. Just enjoy one of the (if not the) funnest cars on the planet. Watch the gawkers tho...they tend to drive toward you!
mayordougGet In?? I "Put It On"!!
CTProwlerJP---I don't need for my confidence to grow!!!Its big enough Now! I never had a problem excepting my weight it's everyone else. When i was 22 i had a 54" chest 32" inch waist and worked out 6 days a week. I got married and its been all up hill from there. Of course i was fat my whole life up until i started working out at 20!!LOL.

Randy CobbMondo:

Welcome!

I know it sounds elementary, but seat adjustment helps the most. The adjustment has a wide range. Just put all the way back and all the way down.

Getting in and out is a problem no matter your height and weight (I think). The car is built low with low top.

I'm 6' 4" and about 240 and I have enough head and legroom.

The MINOR inconvenience of getting in and out is far outweighed by the "smiles per mile"!

CTProwlerRandy at 6'4" 240-- Your a light weight!! I will look awesome at 240!

idiveGet your car, install front splash guards right away, and learn where your nose is so you don't put it over a parking block. Then join us at an event and enjoy!

jmcant1The truth about the Prowler...

1) Hard to get in and out of (especially with top up).

2) Poor visibility (especially with top up).

3) No trunk space (especially with top down).

4) Numbers 1-3 do nothing to detract from the enjoyment you will get from the car!

5) Do install splash guards.

6) Do install ceramic brake pads on front.

7) Remove sun visors.

8) Remove front bumpers

9) At least consider exhaust and gears (I want both, just don't have'em in my budget!)
